On Friday The 13th...It was fun!

       On Friday the the 13th the fourth graders in white county had fourth grade farm day. Many things happened on that day. We hiked through the woods of our school and to the building where they were having the event. The first station we went to was about how much money farmers throughout the state of Georgia earn each year. The second station was really fun. We got to hold baby chicks! They were really fun to hold and they kept jumping around. The next station was about goats. There were a lot of goats and there was a pig.We got to pet the pig and the goats and they felt really warm. After that we went to a cow station. There were big cows and little calfs. We learned about how farmers take care of their cows. At the next station we learned about crops. We also learned about baling hay and we got to see an old hay baler. We saw lots of other things too at other stations. We also saw snakes and lizards and a spiked lizard climbed up my shirt. We saw horses and story tellers and honey bees. One more thing that happened was peanut butter making. We shook up  the cream and then put it in a food processor with peanuts and it turned into peanut butter. We got to try some of it. After that we went to get our lunch and then sat down on the bleachers and ate our lunch. We then saw a person milk the cow. It was  really cool. We learned a lot about milking cows during that presentation. After we were done we hiked back to the school. Farm day was a really fun day.
